---FEATURED PROJECT---
C0641.3 Trenchless Sanitary Sewer Repair
Central City, IL
Summary
Curl & Associates, Inc. is currently working with the Village of Central City to improve and replace sections of the sanitary sewer collection system.  The project will consist of the installation of sanitary sewers, manholes, connecting to the existing sewer manholes, sanitary sewer pumping station, control panel electric service, sanitary sewer force main, removal of existing dry pit pump station, and other incidental items.
Included in the project is the installation of a cured-in-place thermosetting resin sewer pipe inside the existing line (see images to the right).  This system will stop leakage, repair breaks and create a very smooth line to improve flow characteristics.  The services can be cut in without excavation.

How Insituform® Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) is Installed

1. A resin-saturated, coated felt tube is inverted (shown above) or pulled into a damaged pipe.

2. Next, hot water or steam is used to cure the resin and form a tight-fitting, jointless and corrosion-resistant replacement pipe.

3. Service laterals are restored internally with robotically controlled cutting devices, then inspected by closed-circuit TV.
